In December 1981, Derry founded Larson & Company, P.A., now Larson & Company, Inc., which has grown from its humble beginnings to now employ seven Certified Public Accountants, an Enrolled Agent, and numerous members of support staff.
Derry served as a director, president, and treasurer of several charitable organizations, as well as a member of the AICPA, the Kansas Society of CPA’s and the Petroleum Accountants Society of Kansas. Derry had a wealth of knowledge in the areas of oil and gas, aircraft, medical, banking, manufacturing, service organizations, and retail and wholesale trade. Derry assisted his clients as an expert witness in legal proceedings and in the acquisition and sale of many businesses. Furthermore, he was a trustee and executor for several trusts and estates.
