Joell grew up in Southern Mississippi and joined the Air Force in 1986. After meeting her husband at her first duty station, they traveled extensively together. They were stationed in Europe twice and in several states all over the country before settling here in Kansas.
While raising her family, she took a free income tax class and fell in love with learning about and preparing tax returns. After a few more years of PTA meetings and Cub Scout outings she returned to the classroom herself. In 2021 she earned her Bachelor of Accountancy from Wichita State University.
Joell has 7 years of experience preparing individual, trust and estate returns. Helping clients stay compliant and tax planning for their next years are very important to her. In 2023 she earned her Enrolled Agent designation and has enjoyed staying abreast of all the changes in the career field in recent years.
In her free time Joell enjoys spending time with her family. Traveling to new places and visiting the beach are favorite pastimes they share. She also loves gardening, reading historical fiction, baking with her granddaughter, and restoring old cars with her husband.
